The FISCAL 2009 Tax Rate is $12.39 per thousand dollars of assessed value. Your assessment for FY09 is based upon property sales during calendar year 2007 in accordance with the state requirements.

NOTICE

The Board of Assessor’s and the Town of Abington, MA has contracted Vision Appraisal Technology of Northboro, MA to assist with the current town-wide Revaluation project which is required by state law to be performed every three years.  Representatives are currently in the field reviewing properties throughout the Town of Abington.  All personnel have both Photo Identification and a Letter of Introduction from Jack Pistorino, Deputy Assessor of Abington.  In addition, vehicle information is on file with the Abington Police Department for all Vision Representatives.  The Town of Abington respectfully requests your cooperation throughout the revaluation process.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Assessor’s Office
