Welcome to the Abington Sewer Department

The Town of Abington’s sewer system consists of roughly 90 miles of sewer pipe, approximately 1,700 manholes and 12 operation pump stations which are maintained on a daily-basis by our field-staff.

Growth of the sewer system has been stopped indefinitely as we have reached our allotted capacity with the City of Brockton, whom we send 95% of our effluent to for treatment.

Current sewer usage rates are as follows:

Usage up to 3,000 cubic feet per day - $3.50/100 cu. ft.

Usage from 3,001 cubic feet per day - $5.00/100 cu. ft.

And a $10.00 basic charge per quarter

We are currently implementing a new program throughout the entire Town.  We are calling and/or sending letters to every property that is connected to our sewer system and scheduling appointments to do an inspection on each connection.  This brief inspection includes taking a look at your sewer clean-out which is usually located in your basement.  This inspection will be kept on file at our office.  We appreciate all of the cooperation we have been receiving from residents thus far.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at 781-982-2122.
